A WWE '12 Preview

This little video actually got me really excited for the game. There’s gonna be quite a few legends in this game so far! The Rock, Mick Foley, Macho Man Randy Savage…

As a kid I used to play WWE video games constantly. I wore Smackdown! Just Bring It out! I had my own Create-A-Superstar character, which is my favorite thing in wrestling games. The ability to create myself and live out my smarky dreams! This game includes that as well!

I haven’t played a wrestling game in a while, around the time Cena started showing up in the WWE ones, but I’m trying to get back into it. Now if Gamefly would just send me Raw vs. Smackdown 2011 that would be great! I’ve been waiting forever!

But, WWE ’12 looks very promising. The gameplay looks pretty stellar.

There seems to be a few glitches. In some of the gameplay videos I’ve watched there have been some minor things like not immediately turning around when being flung into the ropes and missing people when you go to hit them with weapons. This may or may not be a glitch. In the WWE games the characters always seem to be slower to respond than you’d like, but maybe that’s to be expected with the complexity of the moves they’re doing.

I don’t consider myself a gamer, but I am a wrestling fan and this game is getting my smark up! In the coming months I’ll finally get a chance at this game and y’all can look out for my video review!

Overall, the graphics look very realistic, and you’ll be able to play some legendary characters that look like actual people and not caricatures like in WWE All Stars. I’ve heard lots of good things about WWE ’12, and I’m excited to delve into the stories myself! It’s also nice to see that WWE has kept a hardcore element in their games with being able to grab weapons from under the ring, Street Matches, putting people through tables, and Cage Matches.

…Now if only they’d do that on TV.
