My dad. He was always into Star Trek, Star Wars, video games, computers, etc. I grew up around it, so I don’t know any other way.

Harley Quinn.

If you could have one superpower it would be? 
Telekenesis. The ability to move things without touching them would be AWESOME! Also telepathy. I find my life would be easier if I just knew what everyone was thinking.

You never forget your first…who/what was behind your first nerdgasmic experience?
Thinking back on it, school was behind my first nerdgasmic experience. I was in the seventh grade and decided to actually challenge myself by reading above my grade level. I remember picking out Pride and Prejudice just because it was above my level. I don’t remember why I did it but after years of just reading for fun and rebellion (I would sneak around and read my mother’s romance novels and Terry McMillan books) I decided to impress my teacher and challenge myself. After that, even though I was nerd denial for a while, there was no real turning back.

Rep your fandom:
It’s a tough choice but Battlestar Galactica….the reboot not that acid trip that was the original version. I started watching accidentally (I thought my friend said to watch BSG but he said Babylon 5) but I easily got hooked. To me, the whole series represents what the best and darkest episodes of Doctor Who are about: the strengths and limitations of humanity. It’s perfect because even if you don’t like sci fi shows, it’s easy to love this one. Well, that’s true in my opinion. And you know…Adama and Roslin scenes are the best. (So say we all)

Any special talents?
Writing. I fell in love with writing and performing poetry in high school and won various awards…none since high school though. I still write poetry, short stories and fanfiction for myself and friends. Nerdiest thing? A collection of geek/nerd themed poetry. It’s exactly how it sounds. I’ll share it one day.

Depends on the day. Most day’s though the answer is Storm’s power.

You never forget your first…who/what was behind your first nerdgasmic experience?
I always been an avid reader and lover of all 80s/90s cartoons. I had the Atari and the super NES game systems(I still have the NES and play it from time to time). Then, I “graduated” to computer games and I love playing RPGs. I was in the Math club and participated in Math competitions in highschool. I think my mother gave me the nerd bug cause I remember always watching some sci-fi show or movie with her. We would sit on the couch watching Dr. Who, Buck Rogers, Battlestar Galactica, The Million Dollar Man and Wonder Woman. So I share her love of sci-fi especially anything dealing with time travel or paradoxes. My nerd cred didn’t increase until I was in college when some friends introduce me to anime and manga.

I’m sorry to interrupt but Cowboy Bebop is the best freaking anime ever. You have fighting, space ships, guns, swords, interesting storyline, great music, great characters, awesome drawing… It’s freaking space cowboys! GO WATCH IT NOW!

Any special talents?
I can build/fix my own computer.

Nerdiest thing you’ve ever done?
I currently trying to build my own NAS but freaking freenas doesn’t want to work on my computer setup. Now, I have to try with Ubuntu server which means I can’t run my NAS on a 1GB USB stick. I have to use the 4GB USB stick now which I wanted to save as a portable OS for Linus Mint. Ugh.

Superman or Batman? 
Batman, duh. Superman is a little punk.

If you could have one superpower it would be? 
Telekinesis ala Jean Grey.. cause sometimes you don’t want to walk to work… I rather just float there.

Searched, hunted, begged, & purchased the entire Sanctuary Manga Collection. Not an easy task. Took a couple of years. But I can say I am a proud owner of the entire collection.

I think that is obvious, Phoenix’s power of course. She can create/destroy with a mere thought plus she can do what Storm does and you won’t like her when she’s angry…triple bonus!
